A garage went up in flames at an abandoned home in Mount Vernon over the weekend.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out just before 2 a.m. yesterday in a detached garage in the back of an abandoned private home on South Fifth Avenue.
Fire officials are investigating whether squatters are to blame for the fire.
No injuries were reported.
