Funeral service held for employee killed in Jersey City shooting
A funeral service was held Saturday night for one of the victims in this week's Jersey City shooting.
Miguel Douglas Rodriguez of Harrison, an employee of the kosher grocery attacked by two heavily armed killers became the third victim laid to rest.
Rodriguez is remembered as a tireless father who worked ten hours a day, six days a week and often told his pastor of his love and respect for the Orthodox owners of the store.
After losing his job as an engineer in Ecuador, Rodriguez came to the United States with his wife and 11-year-old daughter three years ago.
New Jersey officials and the consulate of Ecuador arrived to present the nation's flag to the family.
His body will be returned to Ecuador for burial.
