A funeral service was held at Faith Mission Church in Yonkers for 4-year-old Makayla Latavia Manners, who died last Friday after reportedly shooting herself in the face with a semi-automatic weapon on Memorial Day.

"Kayla was one of the best, sweetest little girls I've ever met," said Tracy Williams, a family friend.

Following the emotional funeral, the procession traveled on to the Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, where the little girl was laid to rest.

A police investigation into the tragic shooting is still ongoing.
