Mourners said their final farewells Saturday to a New Rochelle man who was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer.
The casket of 27-year-old Andre Everett was led out of St. Joseph's Church, followed by dozens of grieving family members and friends.
Police say 29-year-old Officer James Pileggi, Everett's friend, accidentally shot him in the neck while showing off a laser device on his Glock Tuesday night.
Pileggi had been suspended from the Eastchester police force without pay and is facing a manslaughter charge. He was released on $50,000 bail and is due back in court later in November.
