The wife of a Westchester businessman was laid to rest Friday as police continue to search for her killer.
Lois Colley, 83, was found murdered Monday afternoon inside her family's 300-acre North Salem estate. According to police, she was found beaten to death in the laundry room.
Colley, a philanthropist and socialite, is survived by her husband and four sons. She and her 88-year-old multimillionaire husband Eugene are well known in the community. Eugene made his fortune building more than 100 McDonald's restaurants. Friends say Colley was a generous and friendly presence in North Salem.
Hundreds gathered at St. James Episcopal Church for her funeral Friday.
Investigators say so far they have no suspects or motive, but are following several leads and making progress. New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
