Friends and family bid a final farewell today at the funeral of an Orange County Parks worker who was killed by a falling tree.
The funeral for 38-year-old Tony Teskera was held at Saint Joseph's Church in the Village of Florida.
Teskera was killed on the job last week while working with a crew getting ready for opening day at the Hickory Hill Golf Course in Warwick.
Officials say he was hit on the head by a 40-foot sumac tree his co-workers were cutting down.
Police say co-workers tried to preform CPR on the victim, but he never regained consciousness.
The Warwick native leaves behind a 6-year-old daughter.
