A funeral was held Wednesday for a 12-year-old boy from Putnam County who lost his battle with cancer.
Sean Callahan, of Mahopac, lost his battle with a rare form of brain cancer last Sunday. His funeral was held at the St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac.
West Point cadet and Army Black Knights football player Kelvin White paid his respects alongside his entire team, which adopted Callahan as an honorary member last year.
Loved ones say it was Sean's perseverance and desire to help others that led him to write a book when he was just 10 years old to help give hope to other children with cancer.
