Funeral arrangements have been set for a New York City police officer slain in a shootout with a suspect.
The New York Police Department says a public viewing will be held Tuesday for Officer Randolph Holder. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the at Greater Allen A.M.E Cathedral of New York in Jamaica.
A funeral service is planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday at the same church. He will be buried in Guyana.

Holder was shot in the head Tuesday as he responded to calls of shots fired and a bicycle stolen at gunpoint. Holder and his partner chased the suspect, who opened fire.
Tyrone Howard, the shooting suspect, faced a judge late Wednesday during his arraignment on murder and robbery charges at Manhattan Criminal Court. He did not enter a plea. Howard is being held without bail.
