Fundraiser for The Ultimate Sacrifice Foundation to be held in Rye

Local veterans and supporters will gather this evening at Rafele Restaurant in Rye for The Hero Project. The event will benefit The Ultimate Sacrifice Foundation based in Rye.
Founder and CEO Mike Doody, a staff sergeant Army veteran sniper who did three tours in Afghanistan, says the organization is a community of veterans who rally behind the goal of leaving no man, woman, or child behind.
Many of the programs support not only veterans and their families, as well Gold Star families.
The Hero Program fundraiser event will include wine and whiskey tasting, food and a live auction at 6 p.m.
