Slater, known for his role in the "Wicked" franchise, graduated from Vassar before launching his Broadway career.
He joined a panel discussion about his journey from performing on the Vassar stage to starring on Broadway and now in "The Land of Oz."
Slater was also honored with Vassar's Young Alum Achievement Award during the event.
