Four people have been arrested in connection with an effort to steal from the Pine Bush School District.

The district reported altered checks in November, and an investigation revealed nearly $50,000 worth of checks were stolen and deposited into various accounts.

The suspects, identified as Nayanti Brown, Shawna Richardson, Joseph Irving, and Delroy White, were arrested in Westchester County, Sullivan County, and New York City.

They face multiple charges, including grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and forgery.
