The Bronx District Attorney's office says 56-year-old Luis Rojas Cabrera turned himself in on Tuesday, as he faces new charges for the death of 27-year-old Elizabeth Baron inside a Kingsbridge wellness center on July 19.

News 12 obtained the indictment showing upgraded charges including second degree murder, and manslaughter. The indictment claims Rojas Cabrera, "introduced air into an intravenous line" during the procedure, killing Baron.

According to the criminal complaint, Baron was receiving an NAD+ IV treatment at the Bereshit Lifestyle Center at 3190 Riverdale Ave. when Rojas Cabrera says, “she went unconscious immediately.”

In that same complaint, Rojas Cabrera admits he was not licensed to practice medicine.

“I am a doctor in the Dominican Republic. I have a PA license in Puerto Rico. I am not a licensed doctor in New York,” he said.

Rojas Cabrera is listed as the founder of the wellness center.

Police say Rojas Cabrera is facing charges for murder - depraved indifference, reckless endangerment, and unauthorized practice of profession.

He is due back in court on Oct. 27.
