Former Ulster County Commissioner of Finance Burt Gulnick has pleaded guilty to two counts of grand larceny.
He was arrested in June after nearly $100,000 was stolen from the Hurley Recreation Center, where he served as treasurer.
State police also discovered that Gulnick embezzled thousands from former Ulster County Executive Michael Hein's election campaign account.
As part of his guilty plea, Gulnick must pay restitution of $35,000 to the Hurley Recreation Center and $15,000 to the Hein campaign.
He will also waive his appellate rights and serve a prison sentence of one to three years. Gulnick's sentencing is scheduled for January 19th, and he remains under investigation by the New York State and Ulster County Comptroller's offices.
