Former Tuxedo police chief dies at 48

Former Tuxedo Police Chief Pat Welsh died over the weekend, according to town officials.
Welsh was 48 years old. The cause of death is not known.
Welsh served the town for 21 years, first as a dispatcher and moving up the ranks to eventually become chief in 2010.
He retired in 2016 while on administrative leave for undisclosed reasons.
Town Supervisor Ken English said Welsh's service deserves to be recognized. English offered his condolences to the family.
The former police chief leaves behind his wife and four daughters.
