yesterdayA one-time coach at Marist College accused of illegally videotaping people is facing new charges.
Marist College's former men's club volleyball coach, Richard G. Kelly, of Hyde Park, is facing 14 new counts of unlawful surveillance.
State police say they found evidence that the 50-year-old allegedly illegally videotaped 10 people at Marist for his own "sexual gratification," all while he worked with the team.
According to police, the new charges are in connection with a previous investigation.
In July 2002, Kelly was arrested for unlawful surveillance and being in possession of a sexual act by a child.
While Marist says it is unable to comment on pending legal matters, it says Kelly is no longer working or affiliated with the college.
The university says it will fully cooperate with law enforcement as it continues its investigation.
Police did not provide details of what the alleged videos show or the victims.
Kelly is due back in Town of Hyde Park Court March 31.
