Flames engulfed a home in Orange County overnight.
Several fire departments responded to the multi-alarm fire on Smith Street in Middletown just before 1 a.m.
Officials say it took nearly three hours to bring under control.
News 12 has been told one family was inside at the time of the fire, but made it out safely.
Fire officials say the fire may have started in the back of the home, but it will be a lengthy investigation.
