First case of monkeypox found in Rockland County

Rockland County has announced its first monkeypox case.
The county says the confirmed case is currently limited to the one person.
Officials say that the person has not had any contact with anyone locally and poses no risk to county residents.
As of June 28,  a total of 61 confirmed monkeypox cases have been identified in New York.
This includes 55 in New York City, four in Westchester County, and one in Sullivan County.
The Jacobs Family Pride Wellness Center is offering Monkeypox Vaccinations. Appointments begin on Friday, July 22, and can be made by calling 845-348-7284.
