Fourth of July celebrations fired off throughout the Hudson Valley Saturday, including a fireworks show in Nyack.
People packed Memorial Park early to barbecue, grab ice cream and enjoy picnics in anticipation of the show.
Parking was free of charge for the day in downtown Nyack, where shops and restaurants hoped to entice revelers.
The fireworks show began at 8:30 p.m., but Nyack officials say many visitors stayed later as the village has an active nightlife.
