Residents were able to watch fireworks light up the night sky Friday at Hudson Park in New Rochelle.
The 21-minute display has been an annual tradition in the city for decades.
Recreation Commissioner Bill Zimmermann says the event draws thousands of people to the city.
Some residents fished while watching the display while others enjoyed the view in chairs holding American flags.
