Firefighter and 9/11 responder remembered in Yorktown Heights

Yorktown Heights is mourning the loss of longtime firefighter John "Jackie" Sullivan, who died last week at the age of 67.
Sullivan served as a volunteer firefighter for 36 years in both Yorktown Heights and Spring Valley, according to the department.
He was also a Navy flight engineer for 12 years and worked as a New York City EMT for 31 years.
Sullivan was among the many who responded to the World Trade Center on Sept. 11.
Funeral services were held this week in Yorktown Heights.
