A massive fire in Yonkers destroyed a luxury rental building under construction.
Fire officials say flames broke out at 1177 Warburton Ave. around 10:15 a.m.
The building is under construction, and there were no residents or workers inside. The adjacent building was evacuated as a precaution.
The two-alarm blaze quickly spread to multiple floors of the building, and there was a partial roof collapse. At least three ladder trucks were called in to fight the flames.
The developer of the 55-unit three-story building says it was 80 percent complete but is now a total loss.  He says he plans to rebuild.
Several firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the blaze.
