On Friday at around 11:30 a.m., Thornwood fire officials say a fire broke out at 904 Charlotte Place.

The fire resulted in a large response from area departments, including Thornwood, Pleasantville and Valhalla.

Thornwood Assistant Chief Matthew Carrol says the majority of the fire was in the rear portion of the house extending up to the attic.

At one point, it appeared as though the roof caved in.

Mount Pleasant police say one officer was treated for smoke inhalation and one firefighter sustained an injury.
