Fire destroys New Rochelle home
The New Rochelle Fire Department responded to 39 Holly Drive Thursday to douse a two-alarm fire.
Crews say flames poured out of the top floor, and smoke could be seen from blocks away.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they attempted to tackle the flames from the roof but quickly changed their approach.
News 12’s Samantha Crawford was told the right side of the second floor suffered extensive damage.
The majority of the home has water and smoke damage.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
