A fire damaged a power plant in Rockland County this morning.
Fire officials say flames broke out at the Bowline Power Plant in Haverstraw around 8 a.m. today.
A total of eight fire departments worked the scene, including firefighters from Theills, West Haverstraw and Pearl River.
Crews tell News 12 the flames started on the lower roof, and they had a tough time putting it out. Officials say the building has a metal deck roof and underneath it was insulation that was burning. News 12 was told it took them a while to put the flames out because they had to cut through the roof to get to the fire.
Workers at the power plant were evacuated, and everyone got out safely.
No injuries have been reported.
