A fire in the Village of Chester displaced several people on Thursday.
It happened on Main Street and Academy Avenue, which is also known as Route 94.
Chester Fire Department Captain Dan Doellinger says it started in a narrow alley between two buildings and spread up both buildings to the roof.
One person upstairs had to be rescued and several businesses were left damaged.
About 40 firefighters from four different departments responded and extinguished the flames in under an hour.
Fire officials said there were no injuries.
