Students at the Ferncliff Manor in Yonkers took part in a special prom.

The Ferncliff Manor in Yonkers is a home for autistic and severely disabled students and adults. Devon Schimerman lives at Ferncliff Manor. He was joined by his mom, Lisa, for what he called the party at Westchester Manor in Hastings. His mom says the celebration was great for Devon because he recently lost his dad.

Schimerman says she has a new son thanks to Ferncliff Manor. She says Devon once wouldn't even walk into a room with loud music and now he's on the dance floor.
