A FedEx truck crashed into a condo complex in Pomona Tuesday, knocking the deck off one of the units.
Police say the FedEx truck came around a corner on Richard Court in Pomona around noon and hit the deck. The bottom deck snapped off the upper deck and crashed to the ground.
Officials say no one was hurt. The downstairs apartment is currently vacant.
Maintenance workers tore the bottom deck down, and the Building Department was also on hand to examine the upstairs deck.
"I don't feel like it’s in any imminent danger of collapsing because the framing goes back into the building,” says Haverstraw Building Inspector George Behn.
News 12 spoke to the upstairs neighbor, who says that maintenance crews will put support beams on the upper deck to prevent it from collapsing. As for the bottom deck, an engineer will come to evaluate before they rebuild.
