The FDNY reunited 10 people who survived cardiac arrest with the EMS workers who saved their lives.
The survivors from around New York City and New Jersey got the opportunity to thank those who saved their lives at the annual Second Chance Ceremony in Red Hook on Wednesday.
“To see all of these people that save all these people’s lives who are in this room – it’s overwhelming,” said Jane Harris, one of the cardiac arrest survivors. “My heart is just so full of gratitude and love.”
The ceremony was part of National EMS Week.
