A Rockland-based and internationally known fashion designer is organizing the first-ever Rockland Fashion Week.

Hope Wade, a well-known designer, is planning big things for Rockland County. According to the stylist, fashion is a big part of life in Rockland.

"There are so many people here, creative people. You have artists, you have movie stars, you have business people. If you eat, food and fashion go together. Just about everything you do, fashion is a part of it," says Hope Wade.

Rockland’s Fashion Week will showcase the work of designers like Wade. It also plans to shine light on promising Rockland designers like Fred-Lynn Burns.

Wade believes this is more than just a fashion show. In the later years, she plans to offer a scholarship to a college student and an up-and-coming designer.
