Family thanks New Windsor police for saving young man’s life
A family gave thanks to a group of Orange County rescuers after a quick repair turned into a terrifying emergency.
News 12 was there as the family of 23-year-old Justin Muller thanked New Windsor police for quick-thinking actions after a car fell on top of him Tuesday.
The Newburgh man, who is home on leave from the Army, was trying to fix his car at a friend's house when he became pinned underneath the vehicle.
Three New Windsor officers lifted the car, and two pulled Muller to safety before he could be airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.
Muller's family says he suffered a collapsed lung, four broken ribs and broke his eye socket. They say he is expected to make a full recovery.
