The parents of a 12-year-old girl who went missing on her way to school are pleading for the public's help in finding her.

Silvio and Quisqueyr Bernabel say their daughter, Michelle, went missing Wednesday morning. They say that on school days, they walk their daughter through a park across the street from their home at 955 Walton Ave. Michelle then normally walks the last few blocks to her school, St. Angela Merici.

Silvio Bernabel says his daughter never made it to her school Wednesday. "Come home, honey," he says. "We all are worried about you. Just come home."

The family says neighbors have joined together to do everything in their power to find Michelle, who was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and sweatpants bearing her school's emblem.
