A New Rochelle family is desperately seeking to find their missing loved one who was last seen in the Hudson River last week.
Michael Stafford, 29, disappeared into the Hudson River along the Poughkeepsie waterfront on April 2.
Police say that Stafford was smoking PCP when he fell into the river.
Authorities say they searched for him into the next day to no avail.
Poughkeepsie police tell News 12 that they have not searched the river because the department is not equipped with a boat. Stafford's family says they are frustrated with the investigation, calling police insensitive.
Family members say they are ready to take matters into to their own hands, even attempting to hire their own search boat and form groups to scour the area where Stafford was last seen.
