The family of a slain security guard at Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley has reached an out-of-court settlement with the library.
Sandra Wilson was fatally stabbed while working in the library in February 2020.
Blanchard Glaudin was charged with murder and is awaiting trial.
In their lawsuit, the family claimed that Wilson had been harassed and faced unwanted romantic advances by Glaudin – but the library did not take any action to protect her.
The details of the settlement were sealed.
Wilson’s family, according to their attorneys, say they are satisfied with the results of the litigation.
The library’s board president says Wilson is missed every day and while nothing can ever fill the void created by the loss of a loved one, they hope the final resolution of this matter can help bring closure to the family and the community.
