A mother, two children and grandfather are homeless but lucky to be alive today after a devastating house fire in Orange County.
Fire officials say the flames broke out on Maggiolo drive in Montgomery just before midnight.
Officials say the mother got the two children out safely but one firefighter did sustain burns to his neck. He was treated at the hospital and released.
Investigators say the blaze does not appear suspicious saying the cause is still under investigation. They say it looks as though the fire sparked outside and then spread to the rest of the house. They are investigating whether it could have started in the peat moss or mulch near the front porch.
