For New York City, the chance of meaningful snow today looks low. Temperatures are running a bit warmer than expected, so any snow that falls in or around the city is likely to be light and may mix with or turn into rain. Most of NYC should see little to no accumulation, especially compared to areas farther north and east. While some nearby suburbs could pick up a small amount, the city itself is unlikely to see more than a coating, if anything.
On Sunday, there is still a chance of light snow, but again, NYC is on the edge of the system. The best chance for accumulating snow is east of the city, while NYC may see flurries or light snow with little sticking. After that, colder weather settles in for much of next week. Monday night through Tuesday will be the coldest stretch, with daytime temperatures staying below freezing, but no record-breaking cold is expected. Overall, expect a colder-than-normal week with only small chances for light snow or rain later in the week.
