The National Weather Service has confirmed Thursday an F0 tornado hit the village of Unionville in Orange County, leaving behind downed trees and extensive property damage.
Crews in Unionville spent Thursday cleaning up the aftermath of the twister that crushed cars and snapped trees in half along Route 36.
"The house was shaking, we were scared," says Yocasta Vargas, of Unionville.
Homeowner Jo Serin says it will cost thousands of dollars to clean dozens of downed trees that are blocking his driveway, and his insurance company will not foot the bill.
