A former candidate for Westchester County district attorney has landed a new role.
John Sarcone, who lost his bid for the position in November to Democrat Susan Cacace, has been appointed U.S. attorney for the Northern District of New York.
The Republican previously served as regional administrator for the U.S. General Services Administration during the last Trump administration.
Sarcone will be based in Albany and is set to start on March 17.
