A man who was once responsible for overseeing all of New York state's prisons, including Sing Sing in Ossining, has been charged with forcibly touching and repeatedly harassing a male employee.
James Ferro, 55, was the director of operations for the state Department of Corrections until January.
New York Inspector General Catherine Leahy Scott revealed the abuse went on for years.
The incidents allegedly occurred while he was director of operations for the Special Investigations Unit in the state Department of Corrections.
