A former Rockland County legislator, who resigned from his position after pleading guilty to election fraud, was sentenced today.
Frank Sparaco admitted to giving false addresses on nominating petitions for GOP party offices.
He was originally charged with felonies, but he pleaded to the lesser charges as part of a deal with the District Attorney's Office.
Part of the plea deal involves Sparaco spending eight weekends in the county jail. In addition to jail time, Sparaco will also serve three years of probation in which he can have no political activity.
