Westchester and Hudson Valley residents are bracing for the remnants of Hurricane Ernesto, which are expected to bring rain and high winds.
Many people are altering their Labor Day weekend plans. One man spent Friday securing his boat so it can withstand the wind, which forecasters say could be as strong as 50 miles per hour. Meanwhile, emergency management officials were checking that storm drains are clear. The tropical depression is expected to dump up to four inches of rain in the area.
Despite the concern, some say they will weather Ernesto like they weathered Tropical Storm Floyd in 1999.
