Elmsford police officer arraigned on charges of stealing $15,000

Ramirez was arrested a month later and placed on administrative leave. He is facing charges of grand larceny and official misconduct.

Elmsford police officer Douglas Ramirez, 44, of Mahopac, has been arraigned on charges of stealing over $15,000 while on duty.
The Westchester District Attorney's Office says Ramirez accepted a sealed package turned into the front desk of the police department while on duty in July. Authorities say he then stole the money contained within.
Ramirez was arrested a month later and placed on administrative leave. He is facing charges of grand larceny and official misconduct.
