Power is now back on at thousands of homes in Rockland County after a fast-moving summer storm with hail tore through the Hudson Valley Tuesday evening.
Officials from Orange and Rockland Utilities say crews worked throughout the night, cutting down trees that fell on power lines from Spark Hill to Nyack.
A handful of customers in Central Nyack were without Wednesday morning, but everyone was back online by about 5:30 a.m.
The storm also caused problems at Nyack Hospital, which briefly lost power. A backup generator kicked in, and patients were not affected.
