An electrical issue sparked a house fire on Lane Way Sunday.

Fire crews arrived at the scene to find smoke billowing from the roof.

The fire had spread into the attic space, which was difficult to access, forcing firefighters to cut through the roof and pull down portions of the ceiling.

No injuries were reported.
