Ramapo police came to the aid of an 80-year-old woman from Arizona after her car crashed in Hillburn Tuesday night.
The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. The elderly driver, who was traveling cross-country with her cat, failed to execute a turn properly, causing her car to crash through a guardrail and come to a stop about 50 feet down an embankment.
Miraculously, both the woman and her cat emerged from the accident unharmed.
They were escorted back to the Ramapo police station to make the necessary arrangements for the continuation of their journey.
