George and Gloria Personick recently celebrated 75 years of marriage, and next week they’ll celebrate George’s 102nd birthday. 

“I hope he lives a little longer," says Gloria Personick. "I want to catch up to him.”

The couple, who are originally from Peekskill, currently live together in the Yorktown Assisted Living Facility.

They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in October 2020.

Lisa Epstein, the couple’s daughter, says even though she’s unable to be with family this year, she’s happy her parents are still united.

“Now that they are together, they’re talking all the time…laughing,” says Epstein. “They’re doing a good job at Yorktown Assisted Living and keeping their spirits up.”

The elderly couple shares three kids, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Family members say they plan on making George’s favorite dinner next week and will join him on Zoom for a virtual celebration.
