Veterans in Eastchester made sure local soldiers who lost their lives in war were honored Saturday.
The veterans placed more than 400 flags at the soldiers? gravestones in Holy Mount Cemetery. Others took time to make sure the soldiers had a proper resting place. Many who weren?t veterans also came to remember the fallen. The veterans say it means a lot to honor those who fought to make the country safe.
Veterans say more than 130 soldiers from Eastchester lost their lives in World War II.
