One local student is working to make a difference when it comes to gun safety advocacy.
Eastchester High School senior Khushbu Dulani organized a memorial Wednesday after school.
She read the names of the victims in Uvalde, Texas, and then held 19 minutes of silence for the 19 victims at Robb Elementary School.
"I'm hoping that people go home and tell their parents what's going on, I'm hoping that they get involved in their communities, there's so much once you actually start looking, so much to do locally, so much to do in New York, so much to get involved with," says Dulani.
Classmates who gave their emails will also receive an email from Dulani with a list of local politicians and their stances on gun control.
