The Town of East Fishkill has been awarded a $2 million state grant as part of the Focused Attraction of Shovel-Ready Tracts New York Grant Program, also known as FAST New York.
This funding, totaling $90 million statewide, is designated to prepare and develop sites across New York to accelerate shovel readiness.
In East Fishkill, the grant will support the I-Park Water District Project, aiding in the creation of a new water district and expanding the I-Park 87 facility by 125 acres.
While the grant covers part of the project's costs, the entire water district initiative is estimated to be around $6 million.
