The Lobster Roll has a new location in Southampton.
It was 1965 when a place with a simple neon sign that read "lunch" opened on the somewhat desolate stretch of road that leads to Montauk.
Its best-seller, the lobster roll, became famous and today is common at restaurants all over Long Island.
