Monticello police say an early morning shooting left one woman dead and a man hospitalized.
The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. outside of Building Two of the Sleepy Hollow Apartment complex on Terri Lane.
According to authorities, the vehicle involved was driven into a parking lot when shots were fired.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to Garnet Health Medical Center in serious condition.
The names and ages of the victims are being withheld.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
